Inkolives

Inkolives, a label born from a passion for design, artisanal fashion, and sustainability. Inkolives draws the Neapolitan artisanal traditions into the modern world by blending classic style with contemporary designs, produced by hand in the heart of Italy.

The first approach with Inkolives was in March 2019 where I was asked to join the company as co-founder and responsible for customer experience strategies.

Inkolives’ strategy is built from scratch, on two fundamental pillars, the e-commerce and the Instagram profile.

The e-commerce has a structure based on Woo Commerce, the aim is for simplicity in the UI and photographic style, in order to enhance the individual products. The product page, fundamental for sales, features highlighted photos, choice of composition (colours, sizes), while the information, should a user wish to find out more, opens with a pop-up.

The site is connected to various remarketing tools, which give the possibility of tracking customers, following interested customers, abandoned carts and making up/cross sales, with personalized and automated funnels.

After the first years of online activity, a Gamification/Loyalty program was set up, named a Casa Nostra, where the user can accumulate points convertible into coupons thanks to individual purchases, shares and special occasions.

Instagram, the fundamental channel for promoting the brand, went from just over 100 followers to 3k in the space of 5 years. They may still seem few, but they are all targeted profiles, where they have also partly converted.

The style of the content works a lot on the pure photography of the campaigns and a direct copy describing the photo and the product. There are two main strands of storytelling, the story of how customers wear the product (we call them the InkoliGirls) and the daily at work of our artisans, also done with videos and interviews.

The site has an average of 100 visitors per day and 3 conversions per weekorganically, while with active advertising campaigns (facebook/instagram) the visits go to an average of 300 and the conversions rise up to 5/6 per week.
